The price of shelled hazelnuts in Brazil reached $9,966 per ton in July 2023, showing a 1.7% increase compared to the previous month. From July 2022 to July 2023, the average monthly growth rate was +1.5%, with the most significant increase occurring in April 2023 with a 16% month-to-month increase. July 2023 marked the peak import price for shelled hazelnuts in Brazil.

Among the major supplying countries, Chile had the highest shelled hazelnut price in July 2023, standing at $11,142 per ton, while Turkey offered a price of $8,643 per ton.

Turkey experienced a notable price growth rate of 0.1% from July 2022 to July 2023.

In July 2023, Brazil's imports of shelled hazelnuts decreased by 16.2% to 544 tons, marking the second consecutive month of decline after three months of growth. In terms of value, shelled hazelnut imports amounted to $5.4M in July 2023 (according to IndexBox estimates). During the review period, imports recorded mild growth, with the highest growth rate occurring in November 2022 with a 536% increase compared to the previous month.
