Dutch Triticale Import Price in June 2023

In June 2023, the price of triticale imported into the Netherlands stood at $282 per ton, dropping by 5.4% compared to the previous month. Overall, the import price has been showing a slight decrease. The most significant growth rate was observed in December 2022, with a 6% increase in the average import price. The import price reached its peak at $348 per ton in June 2022, but from July 2022 to June 2023, the prices remained lower. There were noticeable variations in average prices among the major supplying countries. In June 2023, Poland had the highest price of $288 per ton, while France had one of the lowest prices at $239 per ton. Poland experienced the most notable price growth from June 2022 to June 2023 at -1.4%, while the prices for other major suppliers declined. In terms of volume, approximately 13K tons of triticale were imported into the Netherlands in June 2023, showing a decrease of 22.5% compared to the previous month. The overall trend in imports remained relatively flat, with the most significant growth rate occurring in October 2022 at 47% month-on-month. In value terms, triticale imports declined significantly to $3.7M in June 2023. The most rapid growth in value was witnessed in October 2022 at 45% month-on-month. Poland, Germany, and France were the main suppliers of triticale imports to the Netherlands, accounting for 98% of the total imports. From June 2022 to June 2023, Poland experienced the highest growth rate in import volume at +16.2%, while purchases from other leading countries declined. In terms of value, Poland, Germany, and France were the largest triticale suppliers, with a combined share of 98% of total imports. Poland also had the highest growth rate in import value at +14.5%, while the other leading countries saw a decline in purchases.
