France Food Mixer Price Reduces by 14% to $22.7 per Unit

France Food Mixer Import Price in May 2023

In May 2023, the cost of food mixers in France dropped to $22.7 per unit (CIF), representing a 14.4% decrease from the previous month. Overall, the import price remained relatively stable, with a notable increase of 16% in October 2022. However, from December 2022 to May 2023, import prices stayed at a lower level, reaching the peak of $27.6 per unit in November 2022.

There were significant variations in average prices among major supplying countries. Italy had the highest price at $39.3 per unit, while Germany had one of the lowest prices at $12.9 per unit in May 2023.

From May 2022 to May 2023, Spain experienced the most significant price growth of 3.1% compared to other major suppliers, while the prices of other suppliers had more modest increases.

In May 2023, the imports of food mixers into France reached 665K units, showing a significant growth of 22% compared to April 2023. However, the overall trend for imports during the review period was slightly declining. The most rapid growth was observed in March 2023 when imports increased by 66% month-on-month, reaching the peak of 1M units. From April 2023 to May 2023, the growth rate of imports diminished.

In terms of value, food mixer imports were estimated at $15M by IndexBox in May 2023. Although imports experienced a remarkable increase of 60% in March 2023, reaching the peak of $23M, the growth rate decreased from April 2023 to May 2023.

In May 2023, China was the largest supplier of food mixers to France, contributing 35% to the total imports with 232K units, which was twice the number imported from Germany (115K units). Belgium ranked third with a 15% share of total imports, equivalent to 98K units.

From May 2022 to May 2023, the average monthly growth rate of volume from China was -4.1%, while Germany and Belgium recorded average monthly growth rates of +4.7% and +2.3%, respectively.

In terms of value, the top food mixer suppliers to France were China ($3.8M), Belgium ($3.6M), and Spain ($2.4M), which accounted for a combined 65% of total imports. Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Slovenia accounted for an additional 30% of imports. Slovenia recorded the highest growth rate in import value with a CAGR of +1.7%, while the other major suppliers displayed mixed trends.
