Netherlands Evaporated And Condensed Milk Export Price in June 2023

In June 2023, the price of evaporated and condensed milk in the Netherlands was $1,913 per ton (FOB, Netherlands), which was a decrease of -3.3% compared to the previous month. Despite this decrease, the overall export price showed a relatively flat trend. The highest price for exports was in Saudi Arabia at $2,417 per ton, while the lowest average price was in Belgium at $1,091 per ton.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the United Arab Emirates experienced the highest rate of growth in terms of prices, with a 3.0% increase. However, the prices for other major destinations had more modest growth rates.

In June 2023, condensed or evaporated milk (sweetened) had the highest price at $2,642 per ton, while the average price for unsweetened milk was $1,743 per ton.

Between June 2022 and June 2023, the price of sweetened condensed and evaporated milk showed the most growth, with a 2.3% increase.

In June 2023, evaporated and condensed milk exports from the Netherlands increased to 29K tons, which was a 10% growth compared to the previous month. The overall trend in exports remained relatively flat, with the most rapid growth observed in July 2022 at 38% month-to-month. The value of exports rose notably to $56M in June 2023.

Condensed or evaporated milk (unsweetened) was the largest type of milk exported from the Netherlands, comprising 81% of total exports. The volume of export for unsweetened milk showed an average monthly growth rate of 1.3% between June 2022 and June 2023.

In terms of value, unsweetened milk also accounted for the largest share at $41M, while sweetened milk accounted for $15M of total exports.

The main destinations for evaporated and condensed milk exports from the Netherlands were Germany, Belgium, and Libya, together comprising 39% of total exports. Germany had the highest export value at $9.2M, followed by Saudi Arabia at $5.5M and Belgium at $4.7M. Libya experienced the highest growth rate in export value at 38.3%.
