Dutch Multimeter Price Drops to $37.3 per Unit After Two Months of Contraction

The price of multimeters in June 2023 in the Netherlands was $37.3 per unit (CIF). This marked a decrease of -7.4% compared to the previous month. However, overall import prices remained relatively flat during this period. The most significant growth rate was observed in November 2022, with a 35% month-on-month increase. The import price reached its peak in December 2022 at $45.3 per unit, but failed to regain momentum from January 2023 to June 2023.

There were notable variations in average prices among major supplying countries. Taiwan had the highest price in June 2023, at $48.6 per unit, while Romania had one of the lowest prices at $15.2 per unit.

From June 2022 to June 2023, Taiwan experienced the most notable price growth at 3.0%, while other major suppliers had more modest increases.

In June 2023, the Netherlands saw a significant increase in multimeter imports, reaching 177K units, a rise of 31% compared to the previous month. Overall, total imports demonstrated notable growth from June 2022 to June 2023, with an average monthly rate of +3.0% over the past year. However, there were fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. In terms of value, multimeter imports amounted to $6.6M in June 2023.

France was the largest supplier of multimeters to the Netherlands in June 2023, accounting for 49% of total imports with 86K units. China followed with 24K units, four times less than France. Romania held the third position with a 7.5% share and 13K units.

From June 2022 to June 2023, France showed the highest average monthly growth rate in volume at +17.5%. China and Romania had more modest rates of growth at +6.9% and +0.8% per month, respectively.

In terms of value, France had the largest share of multimeter imports to the Netherlands at 48%, followed by China with 6.6%, and Singapore with 6.3%.

From June 2022 to June 2023, France also showed the highest average monthly growth rate in value at +17.8%, while China and Singapore had rates of +4.5% and +15.8% per month, respectively.
