Poland's Extruded Rod Import Price Surges to $6,237 per Ton in June 2023

In June 2023, the import price of extruded rod in Poland reached $6,237 per ton, showing a 4.5% increase compared to the previous month. The import price displayed a mostly flat trend pattern during the review period, with the highest growth rate recorded in January 2023 at 10% month-to-month. April 2023 marked the peak import price at $6,433 per ton, followed by a slight decrease in May and June 2023. Notably, there were significant price variations among the major supplying countries, with Slovenia having the highest price at $14,899 per ton and Belgium having one of the lowest prices at $4,026 per ton. Throughout the June 2022 to June 2023 period, Slovenia experienced the most substantial price growth of 8.5%, while the other major suppliers showed more modest increases. In terms of imports, Poland received around 185 tons of extruded rods and profile shapes of cellular vulcanised rubber in June 2023, a decrease of 13.9% compared to the previous month. The total import value was estimated at $1.2 million, with a relatively stable trend during the review period. The highest growth rate in imports occurred in February 2023, with a 17% month-to-month increase. Belgium, Austria, and Lithuania were the primary suppliers of extruded rod imports to Poland, accounting for 82% of the total imports. Following them were Romania, Spain, Germany, France, and Slovenia, contributing an additional 15% of the imports. In terms of value, Austria, Belgium, and Lithuania were the largest suppliers, making up 77% of the total imports. Spain showed the highest growth rate in import value with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 22.3%, while the others had more modest increases.
