Price of Spherical Roller Bearings in China Decreases by 4%, Now Averaging $14.5 per kg

China Spherical Roller Bearing Import Price in June 2023

In June 2023, the price of spherical roller bearings in China dropped to $14,537 per ton (CIF, China), representing a 4% decrease compared to the previous month. Overall, the import price showed a relatively stable trend. The highest growth rate was observed in April 2023, with a 7.8% increase from the previous month. However, from August 2022 to June 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum, reaching their peak at $15,273 per ton in July 2022.

Prices varied significantly depending on the country of destination. The Netherlands had the highest price at $28,142 per ton, while Romania had one of the lowest prices at $8,721 per ton.

Between June 2022 and June 2023, Sweden experienced the most notable price growth at 1.8%, while other leading countries saw more modest increases.

China Spherical Roller Bearing Imports

After two months of decline, China's imports of spherical roller bearings increased by 27% to 1.1K tons in June 2023. However, overall imports still reflected a significant downturn. The highest growth rate was recorded in August 2022, with a 45% increase from the previous month.

In terms of value, spherical roller bearing imports reached $16M in June 2023, according to IndexBox estimates. Despite a rapid growth rate of 24% in August 2022, overall imports experienced a substantial setback.

China Spherical Roller Bearing Imports by Country

In June 2023, the major importers of spherical roller bearings in the world were Romania (358 tons), Japan (275 tons), and Germany (190 tons), accounting for 52% of total imports. Sweden followed closely with 104,623 kg, trailed by Malaysia with 69,796 kg. Together, these countries represented approximately 11% of total imports. The Netherlands (30,184 kg) and the United States (20,245 kg) accounted for 3.2% of total imports.

Over the review period, the Netherlands recorded the highest import growth rate in terms of value, with a CAGR of +22.6%, while other leading countries showed mixed trends in import figures.
