This ended a two-month period of decline in imports. However, overall, the imports still show a significant reduction. The most significant growth rate was observed in December 2022, with a month-on-month increase of 1,034%.

In terms of value, the import of aluminum tubes soared to $273K (according to IndexBox estimates) in July 2023. Nevertheless, there was an overall contraction in imports. The main suppliers of aluminum tube imports to South Africa in July 2023 were Turkey (32 tons), Poland (29 tons), and China (10 tons). These three countries accounted for 97% of the total imports.
